Questions about heic to jpg

Does this work in Chrome and Firefox?

Yes. Most browsers can’t open HEIC on their own, so the page loads a HEIC decoder (about 2 MB, once) the first time you convert a file. It works the same in every current browser.

Are Live Photos and bursts supported?

The main still image is converted. Additional frames, depth maps and the video part of a Live Photo are not included.

Is the photo’s orientation kept?

Yes. Rotation stored in the HEIC file is applied, so the JPG comes out upright. Other metadata, such as location, is not copied.
