Privacy policy

Last updated

This page explains what happens to your files and data. It will be updated as each new tool is released.

Draft: this policy describes the site as it is today and will be reviewed before public launch.

Available tools run in your browser

All tools that are currently available — the image tools (compress, resize, crop, rotate, flip and convert, including HEIC and AVIF) and the PDF tools (merge, split, organize, convert, watermark, page numbers and compress), the audio and video tools (cut, convert, video to GIF and compress), and the AI and creative tools (background removal, upscaling, collages and memes) — run entirely in your browser. Your files are read and processed on your device by the page itself and are not uploaded to our servers. Results exist only in your browser until you download them, and are discarded when you leave or clear the page.

Processed images are re-encoded, which removes embedded metadata such as camera details and GPS location. Password-protected PDFs are refused rather than unlocked. The AI tools use models stored on this site, which your browser downloads and runs locally; no image is sent to an AI service.

The site sets no cookies and does not ask for an account or personal details. If you switch to the light theme, that choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so it’s remembered next time; it never leaves your device, and switching back to dark removes it.

Tools that may need a server in future

  • Each tool page states where processing happens — in your browser, or on our server — before you add any files.
  • When a tool needs a server, files will be uploaded over an encrypted connection, kept only for a short, documented retention period, and then deleted automatically. That retention period will be stated here before any server-based tool launches.
  • File contents are never used for analytics and are not logged.

Analytics

This site currently collects no analytics. If that changes, only aggregate usage will be measured (such as how often a tool succeeds), never file names or contents, and this page will list exactly what is recorded.
