Compress PDF
AvailableMake PDFs smaller by re-encoding the photos inside them at a lower quality and resolution, and by packing the file structure more tightly. Text stays sharp and searchable. If the PDF can’t be made smaller, you get your original back and the result says so.

Questions about compress pdf
Which PDFs get smaller?
PDFs with photos or scanned pages usually shrink the most, because those images are re-encoded. PDFs made mostly of text or vector graphics are often already compact and may not get smaller.
Will my text still be selectable?
Yes. Only embedded JPEG photos are re-encoded; text, fonts and vector graphics are left as they are.
Are password-protected PDFs supported?
No. Protected PDFs are refused rather than unlocked. Save an unprotected copy in a PDF app you trust first.
