Is the audio re-encoded?
WAV is cut without loss. Compressed formats such as MP3 and M4A may be re-encoded so the result starts and ends exactly where you chose, which can cause a very small quality loss.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Audio and video are processed in your browser with its built-in codecs, and are not sent to a server.
